This lifetime warranty stair lift is made in the USA, with all American parts and labor, by people who have been making stair lifts for over 15 years. It improves mobility and provides peace of mind for homeowners who have trouble walking up and down their own stairs. Meeting the needs of seniors and the disabled, this stair chair lift comes with generous options to enhance the ride and provide full control for the user. An advanced rack and pinion drive and a quiet motor make for a smooth start and a pleasant ride while the soft start-and-stop feature can be used at any time along the way.
This is one of the best values for a chair lift on the market due to its superior quality, 350lb weight limit, and super comfort seat with high back and longer folding armrests. It also has a deluxe retractable seatbelt for greater security during operation. This home chair lift runs on standard 110-watt power and has a useful off-charge beep notification.
Here is a host of other reasons you should consider a stair lift manufactured by Staying Home:
Nothing attaches to the wall. All the weight is on the stair steps
High seat backs and low foot rests on both models
High quality stitching on the seats
Very low profile track only 2 and 1/2 inches tall, and only 6 and 1/2 inches wide
8 foot sections of track weigh only 36 pounds, all aluminum
Obstruction safety sensors on both, the chassis and the foot rest with beep notification
20 trips in reserve if the power goes out
Plugs in to standard 110 power
Off charge beep notification
Wireless seat and landing controls sensing constant pressure
Chassis mounted auxiliary control switch
Ultra smooth starts and stops due to rack and pinion drive
The chair runs and operates very well and makes life much better for my wife enabling her to get up and down the stairs. Assembling the chair was fairly easy with exception of installing gear bar. It did not go as easy as it should have. I had to tap it in place with a hard rubber mallet. I sent you some pictures on another email reply but will attach them again to this email. I haven't completed my stairs yet but will send some when the job is completed. Our home was built around 1750 so projects can be a challenge sometimes.
The stairlift arrived very quickly (ordered on a Monday and arrived on Friday) which was a blessing as it gave us the weekend to install it for my daughter who needed it on Monday as she came back from the hospital that day and could not handle the stairs.
We ordered the stairlift over the phone to try and get the order in quickly for a quick shipment (which, as indicated above. did happen). Unfortunately despite the fact that we ordered for a 208 inch length dimension, the order taker wrote down 205 inches (or at least that is what the person who fulfilled the order read) so we were short 3 inches overall. We opted for fudging it so that the lift ends one step short of the bottom landing, but it works OK. We just wish the order allowed for the buyer to double-check (not verbally but physically on the typed up work order) the dimensions.
The instructions do not emphasize enough that the track should be NO LESS than 4 inches from the wall. In fact, it should state 4-1/2 inches from the wall to make sure the chair can swivel without hitting the wall. We were just shy of the 4 inches so the chair rubs against the wall when swiveling. Again, this is not a major problem so we opted to live with it, as moving the track out that extra 1/4 inch or so that we need is a major task and not worth the trouble for us.
Overall we are very pleased with the unit, the quality of the manufacture, the speed of fulfillment, and the design/engineering of the equipment. We would definitely buy again if we needed another one.
The installer came about 200 miles, took less than 2 hours to install.
Price was better than others I've heard of.
All I had to do was recycle the boxes.
